The [Solution design of a target digital public service/Documentation of an existing digital public service] group represents and defines the documentation of the technical application architecture of a digital public service, showing how it achieves interoperability. An Interoperable Digital Solution comprises the complete application structure, including Application Presentation Enablers (Machine-to-Machine interfaces for system integration and Human Interfaces for end-user interaction), internal Digital Solution components that communicate with each other, and Solution Building Blocks that provide reusable architectural functionality.
For new services, this view guides the design and implementation decisions. For existing services, it documents the current technical architecture to support assessment, maintenance, evolution, and integration with other digital public services across the European interoperability ecosystem.
